Chef John Kreidich, Co-Owner of Camille’s Pizzeria & Ristorante
Born and raised in New York, Chef John Kreidich’s passion for Italian cuisine was ignited in his grandparents’ kitchen, where he spent countless hours cooking alongside his grandmother and mother or tending the garden with his grandfather. This deep-rooted connection to his Italian heritage laid the foundation for his culinary journey.
Kreidich pursued his interest in the hospitality industry by studying Hotel Management at the New York Institute of Technology, graduating in 2006. He returned to New York City, where he honed his skills in various small restaurants. However, his desire to master Italian cuisine led him to Florence, Italy, where he furthered his culinary education at the prestigious Instituto Lorenzo de Medici.
In 2013, Kreidich made his mark on the Miami culinary scene, working under the acclaimed Chef Andrew Carmellini at The Dutch in the W Hotel. After three years in Miami, Kreidich returned to New York to continue working for Chef Carmellini, contributing to several of his restaurants, including The Dutch New York and Little Park at The Smyth Hotel. Notably, Kreidich played a key role in launching three new restaurants at The William Vale in Brooklyn, where he served as Sous Chef at the Southern Italian-inspired Leuca.
In 2017, Kreidich returned to Miami to open The Alley Pizzeria at The Betsy Hotel as Chef de Cuisine. His success there led to opening a second location, Sag Pizza, in Sag Harbor, NY. In 2019, he took on the role of Chef de Cuisine at Macchialina in South Beach, Miami, where he continued to refine his expertise in regional Italian cooking.
In 2021, following the pandemic, Kreidich transitioned to a new challenge as the Executive Chef at Dune by LT in Auberge on Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Most recently, Chef Kreidich and his wife, Maya, have embarked on their newest culinary venture, opening Camille’s Pizzeria & Ristorante in Oakland Park, Florida, where they will share their love for authentic Italian cuisine with the local community.
